I woke up early fully intending to make as much of the day ad I had the previous day. Brief plans of rock climbing, hiking, paragliding, and similar activities were floated around during the early morning but it was too hard to convince a large enough crowd to agree on anything.

Luckily, it was our friend Renee’s birthday and the whole crew was in the mood to do something fun. It just happened to be a nice warm morning and there just happens to be a water park not far away. Mick and I were already up and ready, so we opted to head out first and get the most time at the park.

We showed up to a mostly empty park, where we had free reign over the big water slides. The excellent morning weather eventually gave way to slightly less excellent weather and eventually to just plain ugly. Still, we got nearly a full day of good water parking.

We had one of the most amazing dinners I’ve had on my trip at a Thai restaurant near the hostel. Their happy hour includes half price food (I got an amazing, huge Curry Chicken dish for $5) and 3-for-1 drink specials. Those drinks set the tone for the evening which continued into the wee hours and spread all over Medellin.
