Looking to move on to Costa Rica, Alec and I joined Elyse who was on her way to Tamarindo to meet some friends from home. We woke up early so we could get to the border in the morning when it’s cheaper and easier to cross.
Once again we found ourselves at the mercy of less than optimal travel conditions. We ended up taking 4 buses over the next 9 hours to travel less than 100 miles. Such is life.
We eventually did cross into Costa Rica and make our way to the touristy beach town of Tamarindo. The hostel we ended up at, Pura Vida, had a kitchen so we cooked up some pasta and relaxed. Elyse’s friends showed up and we all partied, along with a couple of guys from Tennessee.
